When it comes to his fitness, Marc Walker of Reno of Reno
takes it very seriously. He feels it is important to maintain a healthy
lifestyle in order to maintain a long and happy life. That’s why Marc Walker of
Reno is involved in several different endurance tests throughout the year, and
this time he included his son in a special event.
Being a family man, Marc Walker of Reno of Reno also
believes it is important to involve his son, Zylind Walker, in his fitness
routine. Together they participated in the 2nd annual “Dash for
Dads” 5K Race/Walk at the Sparks Marina on Father’s Day, which was June 16,
2013. Both finished with an impressive time of 30 minutes. The money they
raised will help local cancer patients. Marc Walker of Reno of Reno felt great
pride in completing this race with his son and will continue to help his
community alongside his son each year.
Another testament to Marc Walker of Reno of Reno’s
fitness level is the Tough Mudder competition. The Tough Mudder is not your
average endurance race and is probably one of the toughest competitions in the
world. It is also a way for Marc Walker of Reno to prove his ability to be a
team player. The event includes a 10 mile course filled with challenging
obstacles for a team to complete. Marc Walker of Reno participated in this
year’s event on Saturday, June 13th. He plans to immediately begin training for
next year’s competition.
Marc Walker of Reno also enjoys getting off land and into
water. He participates in the “North Shore Paddle Race Series” every Friday.
Marc Walker of Reno feels this is a great test for his physical wellbeing. He
also loves facing the unpredictable waters. Paddleboard races are at Kings
Beach or Carnelian Bay at Lake Tahoe. Races are approximately three miles long
on a set course. The paddleboard races begin at 5:30 pm every week rain or
shine.
